my house: boy/girl bathroom

Harper changed the dynamic is this house, she added some more estrogen and a whole lotta cute!  She and the boys will eventually share a bathroom (if they ever get out of mine!) so it is going to need to be gender neutral.  As it stands, it is pretty boy, Pottery Barn circa 2006...

Try to ignore that dirty mirror!
And I am kicking myself for painting the room green but
I am going to try to live with it for now.

I think the new shower curtain does at least brighten everything up.

The curtain is from the Kate Spade line sold at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
She has some really cute bath accessories.
The rest of the series from this shower curtain is adorable:

But I don't usually go for a set-in-a-box look.
I am thinking of mixing in this bath mat from a different collection.

And I still need to add in some other containers, towels, and artwork.
I originally wanted to do this to this bathroom so I may
try to work in some of those elements as well.

The good news is it's my house so I can tackle this project slowly.
Which is good considering how little time I have for our house lately!

  3. Holy smokes kelly green walls batman! Kudos to you, I know a lot of my own clients (and even myself) do not have the guts to go with bold wall colours!! I'm actually diggin' this shade of green, since after all it its your kidlet's space! No matter what, the bathroom is going to look bold & fun, butttttt I'll just throw another wrench in and recommend trying something like this little gem I found on Houzz; http://www.houzz.com/photos/1680792/Colorful-and-Modern-Bathroom-contemporary-bathroom-dc-metro
Layer in some soft blues, greens and soft whites, with a mix of those jazzy accessories! (seriously soft blue is like Franks Red hot sauce for me right now, I put that shiz on everything!!)

    1. Ha ha! Well thanks for making me feel brave...we'll pretend it's that and not the fact that I actually just chose a color on a whim. But you're right, it's my kid's space so I want to have fun with it. Off to check out your suggestions!
